Staying cool when the heat is on - Practical insights for more flow and less stress

Hi *|FNAME|*,

Today I'm going to share with you my latest labour of love, a post about staying cool when the heat is on which is very dear to my heart because it is the crux of everything I believe in and want to share when it comes to designing the life you want.

In other news - I have decided to give this newsletter a serious overhaul and as well as sharing my ramblings I will make sure it is JAM PACKED with invaluable insights from the people I admire and who inspire me every day.

As well as creating, I will be CURATING great content to make sure you have everything you need for more flow and less stress. As well as evidence-based, actionable ideas and tools for stress management and healthy living I will share creative inspiration to keep your juices flowing.

Creating the life (and work) you want is, after all, a creative process. So let's get started...

What's inspiring me

With all the noise and the insane amount of info we are exposed to every time we try to achieve anything in our work lives, we need to be insanely disciplined to stay on task and committed to one idea at a time - something I really struggle with so this really resonated.

Don't think outside the box. Create the box.

This article by Josh Spector slammed me over the head just with its title. And the content did not disappoint. While it is referring to creative endeavours, it's applicable to so much more. "Set parameters for your vision. Establish rules for what you will or won’t do. Pin yourself in." Was exactly what I needed to hear right now. I hope it is also helpful to you. I plan to write more on this so keep an eye out.

Free Mindful Budgeting Templates

I'm loving these super simple and practical mindful budgeting templates from Kate Flanders which she is giving away to support us all during these financially stressful times for so many of us. They have a great little journaling section after each week so you are prompted to reflect by asking the following questions:

The best money I spent was:
I’m proud of myself for:
Next week, I want to:

Nice one, thankyou Kate!

If You’re Busy, You’re Doing Something Wrong

I stumbled across this great article by Cal Newman that is completely aligned with an idea I have been banging on about for quite some time now. ;) That "if your goal is to build a remarkable life, then busyness and exhaustion should be your enemy". It cites some research that backs this up and I hope it inspires you as it did me.

Habits and Self-Care Rituals for Dealing With Career Anxiety

So relevant right now, last but not least this is a fab article by Madeleine Dore sampling creatives strategies for dealing with career uncertainty from the awesome crew at Creative Mornings. My fave takeaway is to "zoom out to the whole when you're feeling overwhelmed". The big picture is a great place in which to position yourself when everything feels really hard.
Lastly, I'm still doing 30-minute complimentary sessions for my community to support you to stay cool while the heat is on. Click here to book into a session in the comfort of your own home, pour yourself a cuppa and let me help you develop a plan for how you can experience more flow and less stress during this time.

Sending warmth and love,

Susie x

P.S. If you have friends, family or colleagues you feel would benefit from this offer, you can send it to up to five people in your network.
