Hi *|FNAME|*,
In my nearly 50 years, never have I witnessed so much distress in my extended community. It is now more important than ever to do what you can to support your own wellbeing and to show up for others where you are able.
Having someone else help you get clear on what you can do to thrive in different areas in your life makes a world of difference.
So, I am offering 30-minute on-line complimentary stress management strategy sessions to my extended community.
After this session you will:
- Understand the science of how to stay as calm as possible during stressful times
- Feel equipped with strategies for staying focused and making good decisions
- Be able to get more good quality sleep
- Be equipped to have less stress-related interpersonal conflict

I'd love to help out at this time. The skills and knowledge I have can help others now more than ever.
In this newsletter, I will also outline two ways you can reduce stress in a story about how I'm travelling.
Until recently I was meditating when I got around to it. This was usually in the middle of the day for between 10 and 20 minutes. If I got to the end of the day and I hadn't done any, I'd do about 10 minutes before bed.
To be completely honest with you, I've been suffering from quite a few health problems lately - I've been doing intensive physio for my neck and shoulders for ages... it is helping but progress is slow.
Food intolerances have continued to niggle away making me uncomfortable on and off much of the time and I've been waking in the mornings with a headache more often than not. I've also had heaps of light-headedness, dizziness and forgetfulness and it all seemed to be getting worse.
Thankfully I've made some big changes recently and am feeling so much better and just as well as right now we really need to be as positive and resilient as possible.
When discussing my ongoing health concerns with my GP a few weeks ago she asked "how much are you meditating? To which I replied "Not enough". And so, she prescribed me 20 minutes of meditation twice a day. Sometimes it is so great to be told!
Around the same time, I had an appointment with my naturopath. Her remedy (apart from some really affordable essential oils blends she made up for me which are really helping my gut and dizziness - who knew?) was to put all screens on no blue light 24/7 and not using them after sunset. She also prescribed candlelight only after sunset and suggested doing this strictly for two weeks. I am loving it so much I plan on keeping it going as a way of life.
This has been THE BEST advice! Like I said, sometimes it's so great to be told. I bought a clip-on lamp for reading that has no blue light (super cheap from www.blockbluelight.com.au) and I've been going to bed with a book at 8.30 pm after meditating for another 20 minutes.
I've set up an alarm clock that wakes me gently with soft light that gets brighter gradually from 5.45. And for the first time in a really long time, I'm waking up fresh, before my son Harry.
I get up, wash my face and then sit and meditate for 20 minutes. So, as now more than ever we need to be strong and positive I want to encourage you to please do what you can to promote your wellbeing.
Two of the most powerful things you can do are:
- Meditate, meditate, meditate and
- Promote good quality sleep by using NO SCREENS in the evening.
My problems are not "fixed" but these two measures have been incredibly beneficial at a time when I am feeling insanely grateful to be able to ride out this crazy storm feeling strong, mentally resilient and therefore in a position to be able to help others.
Lastly, if you're looking for inspiration to take your personal growth to another level, here's an even closer look at some of the other practices am doing continually to ensure that I not only survive but thrive.
Every morning and evening I write down three things I'm grateful for. I plan every day with clear targets and a goal, and at the end of the day I celebrate wins and note lessons learned.
All of these measures have been put in place through a process of working with others to facilitate the process of taking action to be the best version of myself and have the most impact I can.
I really don't think most, if not all, of us, can do this work on our own, which is the perfect segue to let you know about a complimentary session I am offering my extended community in these incredibly stressful, unprecedented times.
